Microsoft Defends Edge’s Bad Selection of Extensions

Microsoft, the tech giant brought a number of third-party extensions to its Edge browser last year. Since the launch, only 70 extensions have been made available for Edge. Approximately in the same period, Google brought nearly 10,000 extensions to its Chrome web store and the number has been increasing ever since. In a recent blog post, the tech giant has explained why Edge is lacking in terms of extensions. The company has clearly stated that we are focusing on bringing the quality extensions that delivers the users an amazing experience.

Mirosoft accepted that the progress of these extensions has been slow in order to ensure quality control. Microsoft’s Colleen Williams wrote a blog post on company’s official blog stating that we have taken an intentionally metered approach as we embed new extensions. He also said that “Extensions are one of the important features in Edge or any other browser, and we have a high bar for quality”. As these extensions deal very closely to the browser, we have focused on security, performance and trustworthiness.

This is somehow true as Google Chrome has a number of extensions that are simply useless as well as unreliable in terms of quality and security. For most of them, user reviews has always been a rescue. These reviews help in figuring out which extension is poor and vice-versa. The main issue with Edge’s extensions is that they took so long to launch for the browser. In a blog post, Microsoft observed that users are complaining about the slow pace of the newly launched extensions.

Now, Microsoft is looking to bring improvement in Windows 10’s specialized browser by focusing on the development of Edge within an insider tester program. Like the other testing programs available for Windows 10, Microsoft Office and the Bing search engine, Microsoft is preparing an Edge insider program. Spotted by Microsoft Power User, the Bing email notes that Microsoft would like its users to participate in a survey to “determine your interest in making a Microsoft Edge insider program to let us improve Edge”.

This simply indicates that updates for the Edge are being tested and will be launched separately by Microsoft Support to the operating system updates. That is because work on the Edge is presently affected by the fact the latest features and tweaks are only launched as a part of the big OS updates. If this testing program is going to happen, it will be supposedly happen soon. This may even kick off in the middle of this month, which means it is just a week away!

Specializing in Social Security Disability Can Help You and Your Clients

Many clients and even attorneys are unaware that there is now a national certification process approved by the state of South Carolina for attorneys specializing in Social Security disability law. The specialization, accredited by the American Bar Association, was established in 2005 by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification (NBLSC) on accreditation. The SC Commission on CLE and Legal Specialization has recognized the specialty since June of 2009.

Attorneys pursuing this designation must provide and demonstrate extensive involvement in and knowledge of the Social Security disability area to qualify for certification, with requirements that include the following:

- Good standing in the state of admission, and a minimum of five years in the practice of Social Security disability law immediately prior to the application.

- Substantial involvement relevant to Social Security disability law, with a requirement that at least thirty percent of the applicant’s practice must be spent on Social Security disability law in the three years prior to the application.

- Appearance in no fewer than 100 Administrative Law Judge hearings; filed no less than 20 Appeals Council briefs; and filed no less than 10 briefs in the US District Court or Court of Appeals.

- Substantial participation in Social Security disability CLE, not less than 36 hours or equivalent participation.

- A minimum of six satisfactory references, including at least three from Administrative Law Judges before whom the applicant has appeared.

- Successful completion of a written exam.

- Six examples of legal writing, with representation of work submitted to Administrative Law Judges, the appeals council, and the US District Court or Court of Appeals.

(A complete listing of qualifying criteria may be found at www.nblsc.us.)

Applicants are reviewed by an advisory board of seven attorneys and the process may take six to twelve months for approval.

Although it was not listed under specializations in the most recent SC Bar Lawyer Deskbook, there are currently two attorneys in South Carolina who have earned this designation. Besides my practice based in Charleston, Paul McChesney practices in Spartanburg.

The Social Security disability certification brings the total of specialties recognized in South Carolina to five—four under state guidelines (bankruptcy/debtor/creditor law, employment and labor law, estate planning and probate law, and taxation law), and this Social Security disability specialty, now fully certified by the national accrediting organization. Since attorneys’ fees are capped for Social Security disability cases, there’s no reason for a client to get less than the most experienced representation. On that I feel fairly certain we all would agree.

Robertson H. Wendt, Jr., practices law in Charleston, SC, and serves disability clients throughout South Carolina, including Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Georgetown, Columbia, Lexington, Beaufort, Hilton Head, and Rock Hill. He is one of only two board certified Social Security disability specialists in the state, and one of only 59 Social Security disability specialists in the US certified by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification. Wendt has been in practice for nearly 30 years and has handled thousands of Social Security disability claims. Find out more about him at www.robertsonwendt.com.

Healthy Male Organ Maintenance – The Dangers of Silicone Injections

Recent news stories about a man whose silicone injections have resulted in a seven-pound manhood generated a lot of views – and raised questions about whether such a member could be considered a healthy male organ. Manhood silicone injections obviously raise red flags about proper male organ health and anyone considering such a course of action should think twice.

All about size
In the case mentioned above, the individual underwent four separate silicone injection procedures in both his manhood and sack. The result is a seven-pound member that measures nine inches long and three inches wide.

Clearly, where size is concerned, this is quite impressive. But it’s also quite impractical. As the owner of this massive member admits, he can’t have sensual relations in any traditional way and such activities as urinating while standing or finding pants that fit are challenging.

This is an extreme case, but men who inject silicone into an otherwise healthy male organ generally do so because they are attempting to make their manhoods larger. It’s understandable that men like to have a member the size of which makes a statement, but when this desire becomes an obsession, it can become dangerous.

Dangerous
There is some debate as to whether male organ silicone injections in a proper medical setting and performed by qualified medical personnel is advantageous and safe; however, under no circumstances should this procedure be performed by anyone who is not a qualified medical professional.

A 2012 article in the journal Urology Annals reported on five cases of silicone injection which were performed by non-medical personnel. In all five cases, the patients presented with members that were grossly deformed and several of which featured ulcerations, discharges and other unpleasant side effects. Sensual performance was impacted in these cases.

And deadly
Lasting complications such as these are of great concern; however, of even greater concern is the possibility of death that can accompany silicone injections. In 2012, an unlicensed New Jersey practitioner was arrested after a patient died following male organ injections administered by her.

Unfortunately, some reports indicate that illegal silicone injections are on the rise. While official documentation is hard to come by, according to news outlets anecdotal evidence suggests that more men are experimenting with this procedure, often by way of injection parties where groups of men engage in the practice.

It’s easy to understand why liquid silicone might not be the most appropriate material to introduce into the body. This is, after all, a molding product that creates rubber, foam and metal items, such as spatulas or the nipples used in baby bottles. Its effective use in these areas does not automatically make it an appropriate substance to inject in the body.

In some cases, a man may have a desire to try a manhood silicone injection that goes beyond wanting “bragging right.” For example, a small percentage of men do have micro-members and may have a legitimate physical need to increase manhood length. But even in such cases, a man needs to consult with a qualified and reliable medical professional to discuss the risks associated with member silicone injections and determine an appropriate course of action.

An obsession with size can lead to dangerous decisions such as illegal male organ injections; it can also cause one to ignore the importance of maintaining an all-around healthy male organ. Too many men focus on size and not on health. More men need to regularly use a top-notch male organ health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil), which is an easy way to maintain general male organ health. For example, using a crème with vitamin A, which possesses strong anti-bacterial properties, helps to alleviate persistently strong manhood odor, a common issue among men. A crème with L-arginine, which is helpful in nitric oxide production, can help to keep male organ blood vessels open and more receptive to proper blood flow. Dealing with such everyday health issues can be far more valuable than risking organ health in pursuit of size.
